Where everything is sitting

If one bar is much longer than the rest, that is where work is piling up.

Alerts, iPhone & Team

A CRM is only useful if it nags you. Here is exactly how it reaches a phone — and what each route can and cannot do.

Works with everything closed

iPhone calendar subscription

Subscribe once on each phone. Every follow-up and every reminder then shows up in the Calendar app with an alert 15 minutes before and again when it is due. It keeps working when the CRM is closed, Safari is closed and the phone is locked. New inquiries appear on their own within 15 minutes — nothing to download again, ever.

Adding it on an iPhone, step by step
  1. Press Copy above (or open this page on the phone itself).
  2. On the iPhone: Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account → Other.
  3. Tap Add Subscribed Calendar, paste the address, tap Next, then Save.
  4. Open Calendar → Calendars → make sure MD Parts CRM is ticked.
  5. That is it, permanently. Every person needs their own address from their own login.
Reaches everybody

Daily e-mail nag

The server itself sends everyone on the team a list of what is overdue, what has gone quiet, and what is due today. Because it runs on the server it works whether or not anybody has the CRM open — this is the one that catches things nobody has looked at.

…

Schedule that one twice a day — 08:30 and 15:00. Nothing is sent when there is nothing to chase.

…

Set this one to run every 30 minutes. It only mails what is already late, keeps going until somebody logs an update, and stays silent between 22:00 and 07:00.

Desk alerts

While the CRM is open on a computer it pops a notification with a sound the moment something falls due.

Worth being honest about: a web page can only do this while it is actually open, and iPhone Safari cannot do it at all. The calendar subscription above is the route that really protects you.

People who can sign in

Everyone sees the same inquiries and gets the same alerts. Give each person their own login — never share one.

    Your data

Everything lives in one file on mdparts.ch, which is why every computer and phone shows the same list. The server keeps a copy every single time anything is saved.

    Add New Customer Inquiry

The date and time are stamped automatically. A next follow-up is always required — and from here on, every update you log must say what happened.

Each line becomes a point with its own circle you can tick off, like a note on your phone. You can add more later.

A repeating reminder keeps coming back until you tick it off.
